The Mother Oak and The Dryad

The oldest tree in Musto rests at the edge of the Druid Compound and the border of Gate City’s farmlands. Known as the Mother Oak, this tree has a magical connection to the land, stretching for at least 100 miles. Trees grown from the Mother Oak's seed show the same magical connection to the land. An ancient dryad claims the tree. The earliest recorded history of Musto talks of this Dryad’s ability to spoil all crops in the area. The Mother Oak and the Dryad have such strong ties to the land that agriculture can only proceed with the Dryad's approval.
