The Rangers a.k.a The Guardians

The Guardians are tasked with the singular mission of keeping people safe from the wild, creature-filled world. They do their job well and are well-loved amongst the people. Politically, they want more resources and manpower to focus on Monster hunting and taming the wilds. 

It is well known they are dysfunctional internally. It is a poorly hidden secret that advancement is based on relationships. However, many believe that the good they do outweighs any issues they may have.
