The Great Dusting

Within 72 hours of the Last Dictator’s Curse's completion, every humanoid over 130 years turned to dust, floating away on the wind within seconds. Surviving witnesses say that it seemed as if a fog bomb had gone off inside every structure in Skyhold, as most elves called it home. Within a year, it became clear that survivors were aging like humans. By then, most humanoids with extended life spans had been exposed. Less than a dozen “Ancients” still exist. They do so by only consuming magically created food and water, isolating themselves in dry climates, and avoiding all contact with any water in Musto.
