Musto has a lost history. Evidence found deep in the land and in dying oral histories suggests this place has been inhabited for thousands of years. Current histories about Musto only go back [insert complicated world math] years. What is clear is that the population has had to rebuild many times, and if it wasn’t for the arrival gate, no one may have survived the past apocalypses.

The Orc Invasion marks the last suspected major catastrophe capable of reducing the total creature population by 80%. The Burning of the Amber Hold was within [world math] years, and only killed 60% of people. The fall of the last dictator was only 119 years ago, and only an estimated 25% of the population was lost.
