Atheism in Musto

Religion has always been a complicated issue in Musto. When the population is primarily Arrivals, a general belief in the Gods is relatively solid. When Originals, those people born in Musto, are the majority, there is a general shift away from supporting religious institutions. Complete atheism is most commonly found in the multi-generational Original families. Public debates can become violent, as some believers are deeply insulted by the denial of their Gods and reality. Politically, atheists want fewer resources given to the church and their seat on the Council of Factions revoked.   

The House of the Nameless Eye does not tolerate atheism.
